Python and Django are my daily tools. I've built APIs, custom web applications, cloud-native microservices, and data pipelines across five industries. On AWS from day one: EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, CloudFront. I don't just write code that runs; I write code that earns its keep.

Before I wrote software I mixed and mastered audio professionally. That ear for detail doesn't switch off when I open a code editor. The oracle on anticontext.com is a live example: a personal name and birthdate reading engine powered by Claude AI, Lambda and S3 served globally on AWS. Audio to AI — the through-line is craft.

I started in field service. Cabling, networks, hardware, SQL server admin — the unglamorous work that teaches you how systems actually fail. I built an instinct for diagnosis that no bootcamp teaches. I find the real problem before I fix the surface one.

A globally accessible AI-powered life-path reading engine. A user enters their name and birthdate; the oracle engine generates a numerological profile and passes it to Claude for a reading that's both analytical and genuinely mysterious. Built as personal expression — became a working demonstration of serverless AI architecture, a truthful perspective of a timeless point in time. Zero servers. Global CDN. Real users.

Ethiopian Calendar

Sole developer

Ethiopia runs on a calendar that diverges from the Gregorian by roughly 7–8 years and uses a 13-month system. This converter tool is freely accessible — a small thing that demonstrates clean date-math logic, cultural curiosity, and the habit of building for someone, not just for the sake of it.

Anton Silberblatt grew up in East London, studied Computer Science at Rhodes University in Grahamstown, and arrived at software development via a route that most developers haven't taken: audio engineering, field service, network cabling, retail management, and somewhere in between, a stint in the UK.

The through-line was always curiosity and craft. At Crown Communications he ran a studio — mixing, mastering, and sourcing voice artists, keeping the machines running and the clients happy. At Ellies Electronics he went from field technician to call centre manager to store manager in four years — all the while still keeping the machines running — building a fluency with systems and the humans who depend on them.

He represented Rhodes University's first soccer team and the Eastern Province University side at USASA. He believes Ethiopia is keeping better time than the rest of us. He built an oracle. He is a life-path 22 — the master builder — and he takes that seriously.
